Strawberry dessertGlobal export sales for fresh and frozen strawberries combined for all countries generated US$6 billion worth of cashflow during 2025.
Overall exports of strawberries increased by 22.4% compared to $4.91 billion five years earlier in 2021.
Year over year, globally exported strawberries accelerated by 14.8% compared to $5.24 billion for 2024.
Renown for its bright red color, juicy texture, sweetness and distinct aroma, a strawberry is a popular fruit eaten raw or consumed in prepared foods and drinks including puddings, jams, pies, ice cream, milkshakes and juices.
Fresh strawberries accounted for $4.14 billion worth of worldwide strawberry exports or more than two-thirds (68.9%) of the overall total. That percentage exceeds the 73.4% for 2024 and 71.9% in 2021.
Exported frozen strawberries represent $1.87 billion or the remaining 31.1% of the global strawberry sum (versus 25.2% for frozen strawberry exports in 2024).
The value of globally exported fresh strawberries grew in value by 7.9% since 2024 when fresh strawberries exports were valued at $3.84 billion.
Shipments of frozen strawberries in 2025 expanded by 33.7% compared to $1.4 billion for 2024.
