The 2026 Ratio Drop Bar Conversion Kit aims to provide solutions for those seeking wide-range mechanical Transmission shifting on their drop-bar bikes. With a CNC aluminum part that attaches to the middle of the derailleur, plus a replacement fin and cable adjuster, Ratio has made SRAM’s previously incompatible system usable on a drop-bar bike. More specifically, this conversion kit makes SRAM’s Eagle 70/90 derailleur work with the cable pull built into the SRAM Apex 12-speed mechanical shifters, as long as customers use a T-Type cassette and chain.

Per Ratio, the fin makes the Eagle 70/90 derailleur compatible with Apex 12-speed mechanical shifters, while the cable stop provides clean routing for gravel bikes and the adjustment needed for drop-bar shifters. Crucially, the stock Transmission drivetrain doesn’t include a barrel adjuster, making this a more modular system than the stock setup. Ratio also underlined that the ability to run a 10-52T cassette, combined with improved shifting under load and the robustness of a direct-mount derailleur, elevates the system past simply having greater range.
