For the second summer in a row, parts of Texas are dealing with catastrophic and deadly flooding. Gov. Greg Abbott has said the flooding could be more dangerous than last July’s flooding that claimed the lives of 130 people. On Friday, Gov. Abbott said the rains had mostly stopped, but warned that rivers “would continue to rise” and pose “life-threatening danger.” He signed a Major Disaster Declaration that would help in clean-up and restoration efforts.
