PROTECT YOUR DNA WITH QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY
Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwaySelle Italia’s SLR saddle line has been a mainstay of performance cycling for over two decades, and the Italian brand isn’t done yet. For 2025, the iconic SLR returns with its fourth generation, showcasing thoughtful updates to materials, design, and structure—but staying true to its racing roots. Also boasting what could be the lightest 3D printed saddle on the market.

SLR – Updated Classic
Initially launched in 1999, the SLR saddle set the benchmark for pro-level performance with a minimalist, ultralight design. Since then, it’s been a go-to for everyone from Grand Tour contenders, cross-country mountain bikers, weekend warriors, and everyone in between.

The 2025 update marks a continued evolution rather than a radical overhaul—one that preserves the DNA of the original while making subtle but effective upgrades.

What’s New with the SLR Range?
While the SLR keeps its signature neutral shape, there are some notable refinements.
- Shorter Length: The new SLR measures 242mm—6mm shorter than its predecessor and just shy of the UCI limit.
- More Compact Rear: Pressure mapping via Selle Italia’s idmatch analysis showed the rear of the Saddle was underused, so padding was slimmed down to trim weight and improve responsiveness.
- Same Contact Point: The BRP (Biomechanical Reference Point) remains unchanged, preserving the same seated feel as prior generations.
- Improved Carbon Rails: A new layup design provides better vibration damping while maintaining structural stiffness.
- Increased Adjustability: The stack height between the BRP and the front rail insertion was raised by 4mm to offer more fore-aft adjustment.
- Sleek New Aesthetic: A blacked-out look with minimal grey graphics keeps things clean and modern.
