Germany’s Ortlieb is announcing the launch of the innovative waterproof bikepack-bike bag hybrid, the Vario Lite. One of the features that helps it stand out is its slim profile.

The other feature that’s different about this waterproof hybrid bag is its ability to quickly and easily swap between a backpack and a bike bag. This cool roll top bag even has a spot for your laptop.

Ortlieb says that the Vario Lite is primarily a backpack. With its lightweight and slim design, it is perfectly suitable for everyday use.

The pannier function of this bag uses Ortlieb’s Quick-Lock 2.1 mounting system. It’s hidden under the elastic mesh cover, helping to keep things nice and clean-looking.

This mesh cover allows you to switch between a backpack and a bike bag in seconds. The mesh cover also houses a zip pocket that remains accessible in both modes.

The Vario Lite offers 22 liters of volume, which is plenty of room for your laptop, but everything else you may need for the office, school, or university.
