In a career spanning five decades, she played over 120 theatre and 80 film and TV roles.
She won the Golden Arena for Best Leading Actress at the Pula Film Festival twice, in 1976 for Idealist directed by Igor Pretnar and in 1977 for The Widowhood of Karolina Zasler / Vdostvo Karoline Zasler by Matjaz Klopcic.
She received the Prešeren Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993, as well as the Borštnik Ring, the Badjur Award for Lifetime Achievement, and the Golden Order of Merit.
