The body of a woman suspected of being behind the recent explosions in Monoco has reportedly been found near Kyiv. Anastasiia Berezovska's body was believed to have been found at around 11pm last night (June 6).

According to sources, the 39-year-old woman from Ukraine was shot, Ukrainian outlet Pravda reports. Two suspects, a current officer of the Main Intelligence Directorate and a former law enforcement officer have also been detained. Berezovska was named by Interpol on Friday in a Red Notice seeking her arrest on charges of attempted murder, placing an explosive device in a public place with criminal intent, and criminal conspiracy.

A 'Red Notice' is an alert to all of its 196 member countries, asking them to locate and arrest a person.

She is thought to have dressed up as a man to plant the booby-trapped backpack. A Monaco prosecutor previously claimed the person who planted the bomb used a remote control to detonate the explosive.

A car with a German licence plate, which went through Italy and various other countries, was likely to have been used by the suspect, the prosecutor added.

She is believed to have dumped the backpack that exploded in the foyer, just before 9pm on June 29, and is thought to have been about 12 meters away when she triggered the device.

Officials believe the Ukrainian national had spent some days casing out the residence.

Three ‌people were wounded in the parcel ⁠bomb explosion in the ​wealthy ​principality, which ​was ​believed ‌to ​be an attack ​on a Ukrainian-born oligarch.

The Monaco authorities have not confirmed the victims’ identities, but according to well-placed sources, the attack targeted Vadym Iermolaiev, 58, a wealthy businessman originally from Ukraine and now a Cypriot national, his partner and his son.

Iermolaiev, who renounced his Ukrainian citizenship nearly a decade ago, was targeted by Ukrainian sanctions in 2023 for ties to Russia.
