When Michelin announced the 2025 starred restaurants for California on Wednesday, the guide also released its list of Bib Gourmands, awards that recognize eateries offering “great food at a great value.”

Statewide, the list numbers 123 restaurants. Of those, six are new to this year’s guide: Eylan in Menlo Park, Pho Momma in Sacramento, Atelier Manna in Encinitas, Komal in Los Angeles, Rasarumah in Los Angeles and Vin Folk in Hermosa Beach.

Eylan, a contemporary Indian restaurant, also took home a special honor, the Michelin Exceptional Cocktails Award, for the bar team’s creative, cuisine-enhancing drinks like the spicy Bazaar Paloma, with tequila, grapefruit and tamarind, and a “velvety” gin sour called Lady Marmalade. The restaurant’s website credits Bev-West and Christopher Longoria for the bar program.

Leading the restaurant, which has been open only since January of this year, are business partners Ayesha Thapar and Chef Srijith Gopinathan, the team behind Ettan in Palo Alto and Copra in San Francisco.

Michelin inspectors have previously named sister restaurant Ettan one of their “new discoveries.”
