The first-term (Onam) examinations for Classes I to XII in government and aided schools in Kerala will be held from August 13 to 20, 2026.

The examinations for Classes I to IV will begin on August 14 and conclude on August 20.

The exams for Classes V to VIII will begin on August 13 and conclude on August 20.

Classes IX and X will also appear for the exams from August 13 to August 20.

The Plus Two higher secondary examinations will begin on August 14 and end on August 20.

August 21 will be a working day that can be used by schools for organising Onam celebrations. The schools will close for the Onam holidays after the celebrations and reopen on August 31 (Monday).
