Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ had a dull pace at the Indian box office on its first Wednesday. But the film is still pulling audiences across the country. The H. Vinoth directorial, after a blockbuster opening weekend and a good first week, has now settled into its weekday run.

The film has sustained a wide theatrical run, reflecting the mammoth support from Vijay’s fans, even with the expected dip in collections.

The farewell film has already crossed major milestones worldwide and still remains one of the biggest Tamil releases of the year.

'Jana Nayagan' earns Rs 1.08 crore across 4,155 shows

According to the latest live estimates from Sacnilk, 'Jana Nayagan' collected Rs 1.08 crore net on Day 7 (First Wednesday) while running in 4,155 shows across India.

With this, the film's total India net collection reached Rs 144.48 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 168.84 crore. The final figures for the day are yet to be reported. The film enjoyed an excellent opening weekend before witnessing the usual weekday decline.

Yet again, the movie’s performance is pretty impressive, given the fact that it has already achieved a milestone of Rs 200 crores in the domestic market in just a few days after its release.

The latest figures show that 'Jana Nayagan' is witnessing the typical normal drop after a huge opening weekend. The film earned Rs 8 crore net across India on Day 6, and Day 7 was another quiet day at the counters. Still, the overall first-week total continues to highlight the film’s robust theatrical run. The original Tamil version continues to be the biggest contributor, with Hindi and Telugu dubbed versions also adding to the overall collections.

Trade analysts will keep a close eye on whether the film can register another leap in occupancy and maintain its box-office success as the weekend approaches.
