The Indian airline captain who was in the cockpit of a Flydubai flight when his co-pilot stabbed him in an attempt to crash the plane is being hailed as a hero for saving passengers. Smit Machchhar was severely injured but managed to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers and crew to overpower the co-pilot and enabling two other Flydubai pilots on board to safely land the plane. His neighbours in Mumbai praised his “courageous act,” calling him an “incredible person” and expressed hope for a speedy recovery. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “for every Indian, this feat by Smit fills us with pride.” For more info, please go to: https://globalnews.ca/news/12083880/indian-airline-captain-smit-machchhar-hailed-hero-cockpit-attack-flydubai-flight/ Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on TikTok HERE: https://www.tiktok.com/@globalnews.ca?lang=en #GlobalNews
