Enjoy at least 215 live Premier League games, 1,000+ EFL matches, F1, and major golf tournaments with Sky's latest Ultimate and Essential TV packages as the football season starts

The World Cup finished less than three weeks ago but now everyone's attention turns to their respective clubs with the countdown starting for the new Premier League season. Fans can get stuck in on the action - this time at a more sociable hour - with plenty of football action available on Sky Sports with at least 215 Premier League matches to look forward to alone as well as the Scottish Premiership action kicking off this week too.

It comes as the new football season commences in just a few days in the UK with Derek McInnes looking to get off to a winning start to life at Rangers as they head to Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership. Just three weeks after this match, the new Premier League season starts with Arsenal commencing their title defence against Frank Lampard's Coventry City.

Football fans can enjoy all the opening action and more throughout the new season with Sky TV's Essential TV package with Sky Sports from £35 per month with no upfront fees. The package includes access to Sky Steam, Netflix and Sky Sports but there is a caveat that there is a minimum 24-month term on this deal and prices may change during the term.

With this, fans can enjoy access to at least 215 live Premier League games, over 1,000 EFL matches - including all the Carabao Cup action - not to mention a dedicated F1 channel and all the major golf tournaments too.

Fans may also want to add TNT Sports to the package for an extra £25 a month - fixed for 24 months - with Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League action all available at a touch of a button starting with Aston Villa's UEFA Super Cup tie with PSG on Wednesday (August 12).

There are other packages available too including the Ultimate TV package from just £24 a month which includes HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, Hayu, and 135 live channels. You can also add Sky Sports to this for an additional £20 a month but the same caveats still apply.

TNT Sports will also show select Premier League games on TV and its new streaming home of HBO Max. TNT usually has the broadcast rights to one fixture each gameweek, with Hull vs Man United the first to be shown next season.

Fans will need a separate TNT Sports subscription to watch its coverage, which costs £30.99 via HBO Max or Prime Video’s TNT Sports channel.

Alternatively, fans may want to enjoy the experience of the opening matches this season by getting tickets to the games themselves through Seat Unique which offers plenty of hospitality options throughout the season.
