The wildfire situation around Clinton, B.C., remains volatile. The smoke from Canadian wildfires is drifting south of the border and appears to be top of mind for the U.S. president. Donald Trump is again threatening tariffs, blaming Canada for not doing enough to prevent the wildfire smoke crossing the border. The federal government shut down plans to expand Bill Bishop Toronto City Airport on Friday, citing concerns about public space, housing, noise and environmental impacts. But as Lexy Benedict reports, the province isn’t giving up its push for larger flights just yet. Plus, Mosquito counts in Saskatchewan are way up this year, with numbers up year over year and beating the 10-year average. In Saskatoon traps, there was an average of 168 last week.
