Cameras at a golf course capture an unremarkable water hazard lake exploding with fury, releasing vapour that kills the wildlife around it. The furious eruptions then start moving across the golf course towards the nearby town, and local Native Canadians reckon it's happening because the gods have been angered. Scientists race to discover the cause of the explosions, discovering pockets of gas beneath the golf course suddenly erupting and throwing the entire local area into peril.
