EastEnders have left Priya and fans in equal states of horror as they aired suspenseful Ravi scenes that are sure to have critical consequences for his family

EastEnders most recent episode saw Priya Nandra-Hart break down screaming in Albert Square following her boyfriend Ravi Gulati's reckless and vengeful actions.

During the episode, which aired on 9 March, Mark Fowler (Stephen Aaron-Sipple) realised Ravi (Aaron Thiara) was the mole in their drugs gang and broke into his flat to find evidence. He was caught by Priya (Sophie Levy) who managed to convice Mark that he had the wrong man.

When Ravi returned home, he found Priya in a state of distress and she berated him for not sorting out the situation with Mark. After she left, an emotional Ravi smashed a photo frame. After his brief moment of rage, he realised what he needed to do and headed into the Square to find Priya and tell her that he would make things right.

However, after seeing her, Ravi noticed Mark across the Square and jumped into his car. While Priya screamed at him not to be stupid, Ravi drove his car straight at Mark and almost ran him over before opening the door in a silent demand for Mark to get in.

Priya kept screaming as Ravi sped off and broke down in tears as the car got further away. Fans were equally distressed, taking to the internet to share their fears about where this was going.

One wrote that this was proof of why Priya should run from Ravi. "Well that episode was such a textbook example of why Priya should grab her kids and leave Ravi!" they wrote, adding that Ravi taking Mark could only "make matters worse".

Another said: "Ravi is going off the deep end, that antic in the square and the kidnapping of Mark. Priya having a full on meltdown in the square, wonder if anyone else was bothered by the noise?"

"I wonder with Ravi, if they are gearing up for a suicide storyline?" a third said. EastEnders have said Ravi's storyline is focusing on his mental health, and we've recently seen how badly he is suffering.

After being involved with Harry Mitchell's (Elijah Holloway) false imprisonment, Ravi has been struggling with the weight of what he has done to people. This has only been made worse by the increased stress of being an informant for the police.

In recent episodes, the stress got to be too much for Ravi, who had a break down and took a pharmacy hostage. He was trying to get his son's epilepsy medication. When he couldn't find it, he was left crying on the floor and almost confessed to being the one who attacked Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Chowdhury), causing his epilepsy in the first place.

Priya has been trying to keep her family together since discovering Ravi was working with the police, and has been trying to manage Mark and make sure he does not find out. But with Ravi's latest stunt leaving her crying on floor, will she be able to keep going?
