PROTECT YOUR DNA WITH QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY
Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayAfter 11 years of fabricating some of the best steel and titanium bicycles in the biz, Chumba is leaving Texas! Moving forward, Chumba’s operations will be split between Kansas City, Missouri, and Richmond, Virginia. Learn more here…
With over a decade of framebuilding behind them, Chumba has steadily grown into one of the most respected handmade bike brands out there. During that time, they’ve expanded their lineup from just two flagship models to 11 models with a wide range of styles, materials, customizations, and more.
We’ve had the pleasure of testing and reviewing several of their bikes, including the Yaupon (a 2022 Bikepacking Gear of the Year winner), Stella Ti, and the original Ursa 29+. While we’re sure some folks in Texas are sad to see Chumba leave, we’re glad to see that they’ll continue producing bikes in Missouri and alongside Haute Bikes in Virginia.
Here’s more from Chumba:
For 11 years, we made Austin our home and have been fortunate to grow with & connect to Central Texas’s vibrant cycling community. Austin’s passionate riders and rugged trails have been our sounding boards and proving grounds. Luckily, Chumba team riders Ariel Marlowe, Hannah Simon, Jerod Foster, and Eric House (below) will keep us connected to Central Texas, and we’ll be back to visit and ride!
While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to ATX, sometimes life opens doors that take you back home. In mid-July, Mark, Maura, and Austin will move back to Kansas City, where we will fabricate our titanium frames in our new shop just up the street from our friends at Cycle City! Vince and Michelle have just moved back to Richmond, where we are excited to build our steel bikes at the Richmond Bicycle Factory alongside Stephen Wood and Wilson Hale.
Thank you for loving our handmade bikes and for your support. We are really excited to share this next chapter with you! —Chumba USA Bikes
