The Crime Branch-CID (CB-CID), Dindigul Unit, has arrested two more persons in connection with the alleged fraudulent alienation and registration of property belonging to Arulmigu Dhandapani Swamigal Madam in Palani.

During the investigation, evidence was collected regarding the role of Sivasankari, who was working as a Junior Assistant and in-charge of the Sub-Registrar at the Joint-I Sub-Registrar Office in Palani. She allegedly issued refusal slips relating to the disputed sale deed and facilitated subsequent proceedings.

Evidence was also collected regarding the role of Sivakumar in the preparation and processing of the disputed sale deed documents and his alleged association with other accused persons, the CB-CID said in a press release.

Based on documentary, electronic, and oral evidence gathered during the investigation, Sivasankari and Sivakumar were arrested on Wednesday (October 7, 2026). They were produced before the jurisdictional court and remanded in judicial custody.

Further investigation is under way.
