Featuring a metaphysically-oriented word salad from our very own Joe Cruz, the new Canyon Grizl craft research lab video is an attempt to distill the essence of Canyon’s recently released and revamped Grizl. With the bike more squarely focusing on multi-day and adventure riding through a full dynamo and lighting system, in-house-designed racks, tons. of mounts, and wider tire clearance, the video takes bits of inspiration from around the community to provide some insight as to what they designed the bike for.

While the video is a marketing exercise to boot, it’s still a fun look at the design and origin of some of the key elements and thinking behind the new Grizl. From the etymology behind the name, the gummy bear logo on the downtube, and the Full Mounty handlebar, the Grizl Craft Research Lab is a nice touch from the large, direct-to-consumer manufacturer.
