Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College of Engineering Autonomous organised its annual technical and cultural fest, Technotsav 2K26 and Kalotsav 2K26, on Saturday at Jayabharat Pranganam on the campus.

The event was jointly organised by the Departments of Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Basic Sciences and Humanities, bringing students from diverse academic streams onto a common platform to promote innovation, creativity and technical excellence.

Lalit Bohra, Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Division, East Coast Railway, who attended as chief guest, underlined the importance of technical competence and innovation in nation building.

Abhishek Trivedi, Executive Director VRMP, HPCL Visakha Refinery, the guest of honour, spoke on evolving industry expectations and urged students to bridge the gap between academic learning and real world applications.

G. Madhu Kumar, Secretary and Correspondent, Dr. L. B. Colleges, encouraged students to actively participate in such platforms to sharpen their technical skills and overall personality.

Principal D. Deepak Chowdary, in his inaugural address, highlighted the importance of technical fests in engineering institutions in fostering innovation, collaboration and experiential learning. He appreciated the efforts of faculty and students in organising the event successfully.

Technotsav 2K26 featured a wide range of events including technical quiz, paper presentation, poster presentation, model expo, cube casting, bridge making, circuit building, bug bounty, code relay, hackathon, project expo and general quiz, aimed at enhancing technical knowledge and problem solving abilities.

Kalotsav 2K26 showcased cultural vibrancy through competitions in dance, music, art and other creative domains.

Nearly 500 students from over 15 institutions across north coastal districts participated in various competitions. The fest provided a platform for students and technology enthusiasts to interact, collaborate and explore emerging trends in science and technology.
