BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. A new resident has been registered at the “Hajigabul” Industrial Park.

This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

Az agromila LLC has been granted resident status at the Hajigabul Industrial Park, which is administered by the Economic Zones Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy.

“As part of a project to produce next-generation fertilizers and biopesticides with an investment volume of 4.7 million manat ($2.7 million), more than 40 new jobs are planned to be created.

Fifteen business entities have been granted resident status in the “Hajigabul” Industrial Park, while five entrepreneurs have been granted non-resident status. The entrepreneurs have invested more than 66.8 million manat ($39.3 million) in projects carried out in the industrial park and created more than 500 jobs,” the statement notes.

Meanwhile, Seymur Adigozalov, Chairman of the Board of the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones (IZIA) under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, stated at a press conference dedicated to the agency’s activities over the past year and its upcoming tasks that the industrial zones managed by the Agency play an important role overall in strengthening the country’s industrial potential.

According to him, by the end of 2025, 138 residents and 13 non-residents had been registered in the industrial zones. As part of projects with a total investment portfolio exceeding 8.7 billion manat ($5.1 billion), entrepreneurs had actually invested 7 billion manat ($4.1 billion).

“Currently, 82 enterprises are operating in the industrial zones, creating more than 9,700 permanent jobs. Between 2015 and 2025, products totaling more than 19 billion manat ($11.1 billion) were manufactured and sold in the industrial zones, of which over 6 billion manat ($3.5 billion) were exported. “These results show that the industrial zones have already evolved into a sustainable, production- and export-oriented industrial ecosystem,” the IZIA chairman emphasized.

He added that economic zones are becoming increasingly attractive to foreign investors as well. For example, while the volume of foreign investment attracted to industrial zones amounted to just 10.4 million manats in 2016, this figure rose to 87.9 million manat ($51.7 million) in 2025 alone.

According to him, this trend indicates a steady increase in international investors’ interest in Azerbaijan’s industrial zones.
