ZANGILAN, Azerbaijan, August 2. Azerbaijan's diaspora youth participating in the Seventh Summer Camp for Diaspora Youth will help promote the truth about the country to the international community, while the experience they gain during the camp will contribute to their future activities, Masim Mammadov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district said, Trend's correspondent reports from the event.

He made the remark during the opening ceremony of the Seventh Summer Camp for Diaspora Youth in Zangilan.

Mammadov noted that the summer camps for diaspora youth have become a well-established tradition, with this year's event being held for the seventh time. "The summer camp held in Lachin two years ago was a valuable experience for us. It showed us how strongly Azerbaijani youth living around the world are connected to their homeland and how great their interest in Azerbaijan is," he said.

He expressed confidence that participants would be able to apply the knowledge and experience gained during the camp in their future endeavors. "I hope that after this event you will become not only advocates of the truth about Azerbaijan, but that the friendships you build and the experience you gain here will also have a positive impact on your future careers," Mammadov added.

The presidential representative stressed that the reconstruction and redevelopment of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur are being carried out under a unique model unparalleled in scale.

According to him, the construction of international airports, highways, tunnels, bridges, reservoirs, and other major infrastructure facilities is laying the foundation for the region's future economic development. "These projects are creating the region's economic potential. A solid foundation is being established for the development of logistics, agriculture, construction, and other sectors," Mammadov said.

He also noted that all districts of Karabakh complement one another within a unified development model, with the resources of each district contributing to the implementation of a common development strategy.

Mammadov added that Lachin's abundant water resources support agricultural development across other parts of the region, while electricity generated by its hydropower plants will, in the future, make a significant contribution not only to the region's energy supply but also to the country's overall power system.

The presidential representative emphasized that training highly qualified professionals is one of the key priorities for the sustainable development of Karabakh. "Managing these territories with modern technologies in the future will require educated, professional, and highly skilled specialists. I am confident that some of the young people here today will make their contribution to this process," he said.

In conclusion, Mammadov encouraged the diaspora youth to use their time at the summer camp to learn as much as possible about the reconstruction efforts underway in Karabakh and to ask any questions they may have. "Make the most of these days, learn as much as you can about Karabakh, and objectively share with the people in your countries what you have seen here," he added.
