Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayTwo men convicted of mischief and weapons charges in the 2022 Coutts border blockade have had their appeals dismissed by the Alberta Court of Appeal. Chris Carbert and Anthony Olienick were found guilty by a jury last year and sentenced to 6 1/2 years for mischief and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Olienick was also convicted of possessing a pipe bomb. Jurors found them not guilty on a charge of conspiring to kill RCMP officers. Carbert and Olienick were granted almost four years’ credit for the time they spent in custody awaiting trial, and both challenged their convictions on the basis of charter breaches.
