RAMBAN: At least one person died and 38 passengers were injured after a passenger bus crashed near the Jammu-Srinagar highway on Saturday.Four seriously injured passengers have been referred to GMC Jammu, while the remaining injured are being treated at the District Hospital.The passenger bus involved in the accident had a West Bengal registration number and was travelling from Srinagar towards Jammu.Meanwhile, Union MoS and Udhampur MP Dr Jitendra Singh posted on X, "Just now spoke to DC Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, after learning about the unfortunate road accident involving a passenger bus bearing a West Bengal registration number, travelling from Srinagar towards Jammu. 38 passengers sustained injuries. Sadly, one woman succumbed to her injuries, while four seriously injured persons have been referred to GMC Jammu.

The remaining injured are being treated at the District Hospital. All possible assistance and medical aid are being provided. My office is in regular touch with the authorities."Further details are awaited.
