Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by Adpathway
Zwift is bringing new life — and new skyline — to its futuristic New York City world. It’s Zwifts most significant map expansion in half a decade, adding 31 km of fresh routes that extend beyond Central Park’s glass skyways and into some of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. The update rolls out today with Stage 4 of Zwift Unlocked, letting riders and runners jump straight into the new digital boroughs.
(All Photos/Zwift)The Big Apple Just Got Bigger
Zwift’s original New York map imagined the city 100 years in the future — glass roads, sky bridges, and gravity-defying loops circling a digital Central Park. This new expansion pushes beyond Manhattan for the first time, giving Zwifters a chance to ride through Times Square, cross the Brooklyn Bridge, and cruise laps in historic Prospect Park.

Unlike the steep climbs that defined Central Park’s loops, the new sections deliver faster, rolling terrain with smoother pacing and more flow — perfect for longer group rides and tempo sessions.

Power Segments: A New Way to Test Your Legs
Alongside the expansion comes an entirely new gameplay mechanic: Power Segments. Located inside the New York Subway, these are timed, wattage-only efforts designed to push your peak power across specific time durations.
You’ll spot them easily — glowing archways mark the start line, and once you roll through, it’s go time. Riders get a real-time wattage display and historical benchmarks from the past 90 days and 1 year, so you can see exactly how hard you’re pushing against your own best numbers.
There are six Power Segments in total, each targeting a max effort of 5, 10, or 20 seconds. Jerseys will go to the strongest riders, but the real goal is progression — personal improvement over leaderboard glory.

15 New Routes at Launch (and More Coming)
At launch, Zwifters can choose from 15 new routes — 12 for cycling and 3 for running — ranging from short loops to near-epic distances. Five more routes will unlock in the coming months as Zwift continues to expand the virtual city grid.

If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to dust off your trainer, this is it. Whether you’re chasing sprint PRs in the subway or rolling past Prospect Park’s pixel-perfect skyline, Zwift’s Big Apple just got a whole lot bigger.
