The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has taken serious exception to the ‘vested interests’ for trying to keep the case pertaining to the murder of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy alive.

Party spokesperson and Proddatur former MLA Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy accused the slain MP’s daughter, Suneetha Narreddy, of raising baseless issues and questioning the conduct of the investigation agency, even after the CBI had closed the case and the matter was pending before the trial court.

He alleged that Ms. Suneetha had been tutored by TDP president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to implicate the Y.S. family directly in the case, despite the confessions given to the CBI that formed the basis of the investigation.

Mr. Sivaprasad Reddy advised Ms. Suneetha to desist from making such allegations in future and to allow the court to continue with its proceedings.
