Two persons snatched a mobile phone and a gold chain from a woman near KBR Park in Banjara Hills on Saturday night.

The victim, 32-year-old K Gayathri, a resident of Masab Tank, had gone for a walk inside the KBR Park. According to the police, while she was returning from the park at around 9.30 p.m., two unidentified persons approached her and forcibly took away her mobile phone and a gold chain weighing 16 grams before fleeing the spot.

The suspects were initially on foot but later escaped on a two-wheeler. The Banjara Hills police registered a case and formed special teams to identify and apprehend the accused. Sources said one of the suspects was detained on Sunday night for questioning.
