1. Paramount+ has confirmed MobLand Season 2 will hit screens on Friday, September 18, with Tom Hardy returning as loyal fixer Harry da Souza. The new 10-episode series sees Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren reprising their roles as Conrad and Maeve Harrigan. The crime family drama promises higher stakes as the Harrigans' North London operations ramp up.
2. According to the official logline: "The Harrigans, heads of North London's largest criminal empire, are on the brink of civil war, and their rivals are starting to notice." Paramount warns Harry will find himself walking on a "dangerous tightrope" as family tensions intensify. Violence will spill into every facet of their lives as "loyalties snap" and "safety proves temporary".
3. The stellar cast returns, including Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, and Anson Boon. Other familiar faces include Mandeep Dhillon, Emmett J. Scanlan, Johnny Flynn, and Janet McTeer. Season 1 proved a smash hit thanks to its gritty subject matter and Guy Ritchie's direction and it looks like Season 2 will continue to build on this success.
4. Paramount+ also dropped an early teaser to whet fans' appetites, showing Harry having to do the Harrigans' dirty work as he was speaking to a man he was holding in the back of his van. The stakes will be even higher as the crime family continues their illict operations as the cracks start to show.
5. Much like Season 1, the new series will be dropping on the streaming platform on a weekly basis as viewers are drip-fed the story. With Season 2 set to be arriving in the autumn, a third outing is already in development, suggesting that MobLand has a strong future ahead of it.
