The Socceroos continue their World Cup campaign on Saturday as they look to make it through to the Round of 16.

After drawing with Paraguay to secure second spot in their group the Socceroos now take on Egypt.

Who is Australia playing?

The Socceroos will be playing Egypt.

In their first match of the World Cup, the Socceroos had a 2-0 win over Türkiye, before losing to the United States in their second match, 0-2. They then drew 0-0 with Paraguay to secure second spot in their group.

Egypt made it through as the second-placed team in Group G.

In a chaotic conclusion to that group the Egyptians moved in and out of second place as they eventually drew with Iran 1-1, having already drawn with Belgium 1-1, and beaten New Zealand 3-1.

Egypt is currently ranked 26th in the world. Australia is ranked 28th.

When is the match?

The game is on Saturday, July 4, at 4am (AEST).

The Socceroos will be playing at Dallas Stadium, famously the home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.

Should Australia make it through against Egypt, they would next play on Wednesday, July 8 at 2am (AEST) in Atlanta. That would be 1:30am ACST and midnight AWST.

Australia would play the winner of the match between reigning champions Argentina and fairytale story Cabo Verde, which is played at 8am on Saturday (AEST) and will be live-blogged by ABC Sport after the Australia vs Egypt clash.
