Barcelona have a mountain to climb in their Champions League game away at Galatasaray after going 1-0 down in Turkey in the first half.

Barca have won all nine of their games in all competitions this season in what has been a flawless start by Hansi Flick’s side, but that run could be set to end after being stunned by their hosts before the half-time break – albeit it could have been much worse had a second not been ruiled out for offside by VAR.

Aleksey Batrakov was the man to put Galatasaray ahead in the 28th minute, after a strong driving run by Rafael Leao on the left-hand side was cut back to the edge of the box by the former AC Milan forward.

Russia international Batrakov the ball on the edge, before his finish deflected and wrong-footed Joan Garcia and into the back of the net.

The Turkish side thought they had gone 2-0 up in the 34th minute through Baris Yilmaz but the forward was judged to have strayed into an offside position after a check by VAR in a let-off for the Blaugrana.
