Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy has asserted that B.Y. Vijayendra will continue as BJP State chief, as he is a proactive State unit president, working hard to strengthen the party.
Mr. Narayanaswamy was talking to the media in Yadgir on Thursday.
Mr. Vijayendra visited Delhi to discuss with the high command the party’s activities. Therefore, there is no need to think differently of his visits. The high command will deal with any issue. “I am confident that he (Mr. Vijayendra) will continue as State party president,” he added.
Meanwhile, he demanded that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah submit his resignation saying that the government is sinking in corruption.
Mr. Narayanaswamy also visited the Mother and Child Hospital in the city and interacted with patients there.
He expressed displeasure after complaints about lack of facilities were made. He charged the department and district administration with not maintaining the hospital properly despite the funds being spent on it.
