The United States and China — who are locked in an artificial intelligence race — have reached an agreement. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told reporters on Monday that the “U.S. has proposed that we have a notification mechanism between the two countries and we want a shared vision of common goals and common threats.” The countries will create an incident line to alert the other of any AI safety issues.
