Canada has just one week left to negotiate a trade deal before U.S. President Donald Trump could slap 50 per cent tariffs on a range of Canadian goods. The federal government is willing to let Trump go through with those tariffs if the White House does not slash already-existing levies enough, but there appears to be new urgency from both sides to get a deal done.
