The latest Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal transfer news and more as the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Vinicius Jr and Bradley Barcola's futures remain up in the air

Updated 11:16, 03 Aug 2026

Welcome to Mirror Football's transfer news live blog on Monday, August 3.

The transfer window is entering the business end of the summer with less than three weeks to go until the Premier League kicks into action. Arsenal are primed to make a splash as they attempt to get some major deals over the line to launch their title defence.

The Gunners are reportedly nearing a move for Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes and are primed to move for Vinicius Junior should the Brazilian winger be unable to agree a new contract with Real Madrid. An approach for Julian Alvarez hasn't been ruled out either.

Manchester United, meanwhile are looking to add a third midfielder following the signings of Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos. However, they are being increasingly linked to Magpies full-back Lewis Hall following Eddie Howe's departure.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are said to be interested in a big-money move for Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola, while Tottenham's heavy spending could continue with a move for Victor Osimhen.
