Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are looking to get busy in the transfer market, while Chelsea completed the biggest deal of the summer in landing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa

The World Cup is over and now the focus is on the Premier League with clubs all over the world continuing their preparations. Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is set to put rumours of an Old Trafford exit to bed as he has agreed to extend his Red Devils stay.
After missing out on Victor Munoz and Johan Manzambi, Newcastle United are closing in on a fourth signing of the summer. The Magpies are on the verge of signing Aladji Bamba from Monaco with the 20-year-old flying to the North East to complete his move.
Liverpool are facing a crucial summer under new head coach Andoni Iraola and amid the backdrop of takeover talks, the former Cherries boss wants transfers.
The Reds made an approach for PSG target Maghnes Akliouche with the Parisiens unable to meet the demands of Ligue 1 rivals AS Monaco. Meanwhile, Liverpool are said to be leading the race to sign Bradley Barcola, a move which would be another blow for Arsenal, who are also rumoured to hold an interest.
There's a month to go until the Premier League returns, and with pre-season getting underway across the division, the transfer action is picking up. Chelsea completed a deal to sign England star Morgan Rogers after footing up a £117million fee to set the pace for the summer while Alejandro Garnacho has joined Aston Villa on loan.
Arsenal have welcomed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, but their bid to sign Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes is stealing the headlines. The Magpies remain adamant that their captain is not for sale but could they see an Alexander Isak repeat?

It's claimed Adams is viewed as a more obtainable midfield target for United, compared to his Cherries teammate Alex Scott.

Real Madrid 'working on Rodri deal'
The Athletic claims Real Madrid are working on a deal to sign Manchester City star Rodri, though club-to-club talks are yet to take place.
The World Cup winner shone on international duty with his country again and Real are understood to be confident that a deal can be struck this summer.
The 30-year-old is entering the final 12 months of his City contract, though the club are still in talks about extending his stay beyond that.
Enzo Maresca views Rodri as a key figure in the City side and Real - whose sources reportedly denied any interest in Rodri this summer - have U-turned on that stance after a brilliant World Cup.

Man City consider Chelsea transfer swoop
The Daily Mail claims Enzo Maresca is considering a transfer swoop for Chelsea winger Pedro Neto this summer, amid ongoing uncertainty around his future at Stamford Bridge.
City have reportedly considered a swoop for Yan Diomande and PSG's s Ibrahim Mbaye along with other targets, with Savinho in talks to join Tottenham.
Maresca wants a replacement lined up before sanctioning a departure, with Neto a possible target, having had a good relationship with the City boss during his time at the Blues.

Newcastle and Forest to do battle for full-back
Union Raya relay reports from Matteo Moretto, claiming Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United are competing to sign 28-year-old Rayo Vallecano full-back Andrei Ratiu.
While there have not been any club-to-club talks at this stage, it's claimed the Premier League duo are keen on signing the Romanian, who has a release clause in the region of £21.3m.
Wolves are said to have had a £15.4m bid rejected last summer and the La Liga side would not be willing to negotiate below the release clause.

Alvarez plus Gyokeres claim
Arsenal are reportedly willing to offer Viktor Gyokeres as bait to bring Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez to the Emirates Stadium this summer. Atletico have made their reluctance to sell him abundantly clear by repeatedly pointing to the huge £427million buy-out clause in his deal.
However, it is claimed the north London club want to test their stubbornness by offering Gyokeres as part of a player-plus-cash deal. The Times claim that Arsenal are keen to present the Swedish player to Diego Simeone's team as well as a transfer fee.

Man Utd drop clearest hint yet over Rashford's future
United bosses have invited Marcus Rashford to be part of a documentary about the club in a move which suggests they are prepared to perform a stunning U-turn and keep the outcast at Old Trafford.
Rashford has not kicked a ball in anger for United since December 2024. The Red Devils were expected to sell him to the highest bidder, with co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe keen to get him off the wage bill.
But it has emerged that United executives have asked Rashford if he wants to be included in the fly-on-the-wall film the club has agreed with Amazon, in a multi-million pound deal.

Watkins claim
Man Utd and Arsenal are among the sides reportedly monitoring Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins this summer. The Sun claim that Watkins, 30, is attracting attention from several sides both in England and across Europe.
Mikel Arteta is reportedly eyeing Watkins as a top transfer target for Arsenal amid growing interest in Gabriel Jesus. Meanwhile, United are keeping close tabs on the situation—if Joshua Zirkzee completes a rumoured return to Serie A with Juventus or Roma, United are expected to launch a formal bid for Watkins themselves.

Bruno Guimaraes agent takes to social media
The representative of Bruno Guimaraes, Alexis Malavolta, has shared a social media update just as Arsenal intensify their pursuit of the Newcastle United midfielder. It comes amid suggestions from London that the Gunners are preparing a £70million offer for Guimaraes.
However, sources on Tyneside insist Arsenal's chances of landing Guimaraes for anything close to £70m are a 'non‑starter.' Speculation has grown following Newcastle's capture of Aladji Bamba from Monaco, but it is not believed that the youngster has been signed as a direct successor to Guimaraes.
Our colleagues at ChronicleLivepreviously reported that neither the player nor his representatives have submitted a formal transfer request, and Guimaraes remains under contract at St James’ Park for at least another two years.

Manu Kone holding out hope for PSG
Manu Kone is keen on a move to the Premier League, according to Il Tempo. It is said to be a league that particularly fascinates the France international. Kone, however, reportedly continues to hope that Paris Saint-Germain come calling this summer.
They have yet to show any serious interest in the midfielder, though, with United remaining the frontrunners. No offer is forthcoming from Old Trafford at this stage, with Roma wanting over £40million to consider selling, as they could do with a significant sale to improve their financial situation by banking a cash influx and funding their summer transfer business.

Rangers line up deal for Utd youngster
Rangers and sides from Australia's A-League are reportedly interested in Manchester United youngster James Overy. The full-back caught United scouts' attention playing for Perth Glory's senior side in a pre-season friendly against West Ham when he was just 15.
The 18-year-old is revered for his electric pace and signed for United in the summer of 2024. The teenager stepped up to make a handful of appearances for the Under-21s last season.
Overy earned a move to United because of his performance in pre-season with Perth two years ago, and he will try to take any opportunity that comes his way this summer.

Alajbegovic claim
Chelsea are reportedly favourites to sign Bosnia-Herzegovina attacking midfielder Kerim Alajbegovic, 18, from Bayer Leverkusen. It is also claimed that Xabi Alonso's side are in talks with Crystal Palace to sell French centre-back Axel Disasi, 28.
It comes after Morgan Rogers joined Alonso's men from Aston Villa in a British record £117m transfer.

Barcola competition
German giants Bayern Munich could launch a bid for PSG's Bradley Barcola if Michael Olise joins Real Madrid this summer. CF Bayern Insider say that Olise is attracting interest from Madrid, and that Bayern have Barcola on their shortlist as a potential replacement.
However, the Germans are expecting French star Olise to remain at the Allianz Arena this summer. PSG's asking price for Barcola, reportedly over £100million, is also a huge sticking point for Bayern, with the report stating that the reigning Bundesliga champions can’t be considered serious suitors for the Ligue 1 star.

Rashford return to impact two players
Patrick Dorgu and Matheus Cunha could be impacted by Marcus Rashford's return to Manchester United's first-team squad. It has been a frustrating summer for the Red Devils academy graduate.
The forward's dream move to Barcelona looks unlikely to materialise after the Catalan giants failed to activate a £26million clause in last season's loan agreement to secure his permanent transfer. It is understood that United are looking for alternative permanent buyers, with Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur among the sides linked.
The club are eager to clear his £325,000-a-week salary to protect their newly established wage structure. But with no permanent deal for the winger in sight, United could be forced to cut their losses and loan him out again towards the end of the window.

Newcastle confirm Bamba signing
Newcastle United have confirmed the signing of young French midfielder Aladji Bamba from Monaco for an undisclosed fee.
Speaking after his move to St James' Park was confirmed, Bamba said: "I'm very happy to be here – it's a new challenge and I can't wait to get started. I was very excited when I heard Newcastle were interested in signing me.
"I know about the history of the club and I've visited the stadium already, which is amazing. I can't wait to be on the pitch there and hope to have some great times with the fans.
"I'm excited to test myself in a new league, the biggest league in the world. I learned a lot last season and now I feel ready for this new opportunity. I will give my all for this club."
