Tom Cruise has been many things over his 40 years in the film industry, this October he’ll star in Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu‘s Digger. We have no clue what Mr Cruise will be or doing in the film for now Warner Bros celebrate their main man with a Retrospective Trailer.

Where do you start when it comes to Tom Cruise? He’s the last of the great original film stars. His films get bums on seats in cinemas, face of several franchises (Top Gun and Mission Impossible). He has a foot in everything from acting, stunts and behind the lens, most of time cinephiles and critics love what he does.

Now what is Digger all about? Good question. The synopsis is still a big secret, what we do know it will be “A comedy of catastrophic proportions“. Hard to say if Mission Impossible 8 was the last of his journey through the action genre. With Iñarritu (Birdman, The Revenant) directing anything can happen, could it lead to another potential Oscar nomination?
