Uttar Pradesh Dairy Development Department will be holding a one-day district-level Dairy Conclave-2026 across all 75 districts of the State on Wednesday (August 5, 2026). The aim of this programme is to disseminate the advantages of various public welfare initiatives being executed by both the Dairy Development Department and the Animal Husbandry Department to eligible beneficiaries.
“ We aim to enhance awareness regarding modern technologies and scientific livestock management within the dairy sector, while ensuring the effective execution of departmental schemes,” Dhanalakshmi K, Dairy Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh, told The Hindu.
She added that the conclave will be broadcast live from the headquarters via a web link.
“At the district level, the event will take place in the Vikas Bhawan auditorium, presided over by the respective Chief Development Officer. It will be inaugurated by public representatives. Additionally, public representatives, senior officials, members of milk unions, milk-producing farmers, livestock rearers, self-help groups, dairy committees, and other stakeholders are expected to participate in the programme. The programme will be streamed from the headquarters through a Zoom link from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. During this session, experts will share technical and practical insights,” added Ms. Dhanalakshmi., a 2000-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer.
The conclave will include special presentations on various topics, such as modern dairy management (including the Nand Baba Dugdh Mission), formal dairy processing (Dugdh Policy-2022), fodder management, as well as the identification, prevention, surveillance, control, and vaccination of animal diseases, along with information regarding departmental schemes and programs.
“Along with officers of the Dairy Development Department and the Animal Husbandry Department, senior scientists and subject experts from Krishi Vigyan Kendras and agricultural universities will share their experiences. During the programme, selection and approval letters will be distributed to beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Swadeshi Go-Sanvardhan Yojana, Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana, and Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana,” the Dairy Commissioner added.
