The Costa Rican photographer Luisana Calderón, a 21-year-old woman with Down syndrome, is currently exhibiting her first professional photographic showcase in Madrid. Through her display, she actively encourages other creatives to “follow your dreams, find your path, and trust in yourself,” sharing her firm conviction that structured effort and consistent perseverance unlock any personal or professional milestone.

Calderón shared these insights during an interview focused on the official inauguration of her exhibition in the Spanish capital. The young artist discovered her innate passion for photography simply by observing her mother handle a camera.
