The cargo cage experts at Widefoot released an updated CargoMount cargo cage in 2024. It set itself apart from others and the original version with a nifty tubular bolt-on cargo foot called the CargoNoodle. The idea was that it was stronger than the original and could be removed to accommodate different loads. The low-profile shape of the CargoNoodle was great for bottles or other hard-sided cargo, but Widefoot saw an opportunity to release a larger cargo foot to support dry bags, stuff sacks, and larger fork bags that tend to compress or shift under standard low-profile configurations.

The new Widefoot BagNoodle is constructed from the same durable 6061 aluminum tubing as the standard CargoNoodle (above, right), weighs just 15 grams (an additional 7.5 grams), and attaches using the same M5 hardware. It extends 42mm (1.65″) further than the standard CargoNoodle and is available as a $3 upgrade option when purchasing the CargoMount or as a $9 standalone purchase for existing owners.
