Ash and dust covered the roads and roofs of residential areas around Indonesia's Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki volcano on Wednesday after it erupted a day earlier and sent a plume of over 10 km into the sky. "It was terrifying... When the volcano erupted, we were on our front lawn. But then the stones started raining down on us and we ran to Hikong (a different town)," one resident said. Lewotobi Laki-laki's last eruption was in May when authorities also raised the level to the most severe.
