A 16-year-old girl has gone missing in Mackay, Queensland, overnight.

The girl was last seen at about 8.30pm in the northern beaches suburb of Blacks Beach.

She was leaving a Burleigh Court address on foot at the time.

Police and family are concerned due to the girl's age, and due to her need for medication to treat a condition.

She is about 155cm tall, has black hair with red tips, and a slim build.

She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black shorts, black shoes with white socks, fishnet stockings, and a moon boot on her left leg.
