The Tamil Nadu Assembly election is set to be held on April 23, 2026, with multiple political players in the fray: the ruling DMK and its alliance partners, the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK), and debutante Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, led by actor Vijay. Counting of votes will take place on May 4.
