DMK president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will participate in an election public meeting at Chithode at 9 a.m. on April 2 and seek votes for all eight Assembly constituency candidates in the district.

Of the eight constituencies, the DMK is contesting in Erode (West), where S. Muthusamy is the candidate; Perundurai (Thoppu N.D. Venkatachalam); Bhavani (K.A. Sekar alias K.A. Chandrasekar); Anthiyur (M. Sivabalan); and Gobichettipalayam (N. Nallasivam).
