Film makeover specialists Second Sight Films are set to give life to another gem with The Ugly Stepsister, when it’s released on Limited Edition Dual 4K UHD/Blu-ray. The Limited Edition and Standard Editions are set to arrive on 23rd February 2026 [pre-order now].

Beloved fairytale Cinderella gets a blood curdling body horror transformation in Emilie Blichfeldt’s nightmarish The Ugly Stepsister, which features a brutally spellbinding performance from Lea Myren as wicked stepsibling Elvira. The film promises to get under your skin like any great body horror should. It also stars  Thea Sofie Loch Næss, Flo Fagerli, and Ane Dahl Torp.

Our horror aficionado Bradley Hadcroft reviewed the film earlier this year, calling it  “a beautifully ugly piece of cinema that shocks and amuses with equal aplomb“.
