The Gonda Junction – Barabanki Junction section is undergoing non-interlocking (NI) work to facilitate the commissioning of a third railway line between Colonelganj, Sarju, Jarwal Road, and Ghaghraghat stations, aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing congestion.
“Due to non-interlocking work on the Gonda Junction to Barabanki Junction section for commissioning of the third line, train number 05579/05580 will be diverted,” according to railway officials.
As a result of this construction, the train operating between Anand Vihar Terminal and Saharsa Junction will be diverted to run via Darbhanga Junction, Chhapra, Varanasi, Lucknow Junction, and Roza Junction, officials said.
