A café in Lima is serving espresso, latte and cappuccino topped with portraits of Pope Leo XIV ahead of his November visit.

The video shows barista Ariana Mallma drawing the pontiff's face in chocolate and displaying the finished designs.

Owner Carlos Risco says the team tested several sketches before settling on a clear image, while Mallma compares the process to painting on canvas. She says the technique requires patience to avoid smudging the foam.

The pope will travel to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru from 6 to 17 November, visiting Lima, Chiclayo, Cusco and Pucallpa.
