Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe world’s best surfers will arrive in Costa Rica in August to compete in Playa Hermosa, Garabito, in a stop on the World Surf League’s professional circuit.
This is the world’s premier surfing organization, and the event—scheduled for August 13–16—will put the Costa Rican Pacific coast in the global spotlight.
The selection is the result of a negotiation process led by the Asociación Costas del Surf, which earned the vote of confidence from the sport’s top global body to bring a professional circuit event to the country.
“Hosting this type of event strengthens the country and positions Costa Rica as an undisputed leader in sports and sustainable tourism, creating a significant opportunity both economically and socially, especially for coastal communities,” said Carla Gallardo, president of the Costas del Surf Association.
Francisco González, mayor of Garabito, emphasized that the event confirms the country’s potential as a world-class sports destination and opens the door to new opportunities for economic development and tourism for coastal communities.
