Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayPatrick Schwarzenegger, best known for his role as Saxon Ratliff in the third season of Mike White’s The White Lotus, has joined Margaret Qualley in the cast of Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming feature Love Of Your Life. With Rachel Morrison set to direct Julia Cox’s screenplay, the film will be produced by Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson via their Open Invite Entertainment banner.
Plot details are unknown, and Deadline was the first to report on the script sale, which was won by Gosling and Henderson on behalf of Amazon MGM Studios back in October, for an approximate amount of $2 million.
Directing this exciting ensemble of collaborators, Rachel Morrison has a remarkable cinematic oeuvre and is the first woman ever to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Cinematography for her work on Mudbound (2017). Julia Cox is a scribe to watch, her previous screenplay for Nyad (2023) laying a firm foundation for the Academy Award Nominations of both Jodie Foster and Annette Bening.
Patrick Schwarzenegger and Qualley are growing into stardom at an exponential rate: Schwarzenegger’s recent roles include HBO Max’s The Staircase and Prime Video’s The Terminal List, as well as The Boys spinoff Gen V. Will he team with his Dad one of these days, we wonder?
Qualley has appeared in several Academy-nominated films, including Caroline Fargeat’s The Substance (2024) and Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things (2023) and will next be seen in Ethan Cohen’s Honey, Don’t opposite Chris Evans and Aubrey Plaza.
Whilst details on the upcoming feature are few, this casting announcement of young talent is enough to catalyse a buzz around Love Of Your Life.
