RJD MP Abhay Kumar Sinha says that Maoism was made by the people who exploited the oppressed people and Dalits.

He says that the BJP has stopped mining in Bihar, adding that at least 50 lakh people lost their jobs due to this decision.

AITC MP Mahua Moitra says that the number of fortified police stations in Maoist-affected areas has been increased from 66 in 2014 to 586, as of government data released on December 13, 2025.

“Despite the government’s repeated claims that the Maoist influence has declined and normalcy is returning to Bustar, there is no corresponding indication of demilitarisation or withdrawal of troops,” she asks.

She also asks if normalcy is restored, why the security has been increased.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh says that the Modi Government is doing an injustice by silently seeing the Soldiers who save the border killing themselves, while discussing the Central Armed Police Forces (General Administration) Bill.

He adds that the soldiers, who save the country, are not able to visit their homes when they are in need.

He says that the reports by Murli Manohar Joshi and P Chidambaram say that the CRPF officers should get promotions as the IPS officers do.

BJP MP Sambit Patra says that the former PM, Manmohan Singh, believed that Maoism is the “deadliest evil” in the country.

He claims that Congress also romanticised Maoism. He says, “Arundhathi Roy, who is ‘a sister of Congress’, called Maoists ‘Gandhians with guns’”.

He adds that Congress and its allies have very odd idea about Maoism.

He says that 76 CRPF soldiers died in Chhattisgarh on April 2, 2010, adding that it is the highest ever single day casuality of Indian security.

He says that Congress has sinned.

Congress MP Saptagiri Sankar asks whether anyone from the BJP died during the freedom struggle or in the attack by Maoists.

He says that from the claims of the ruling MPs, one will think that Home Minister Amit Shah himself killed the Maoists with a gun, and no one else has a role in it.

He asks if the efforts of the former governments and police are invisible.

He says he comes from a place where left-wing extremism is at its peak.

He adds that people from their side died in Maoist attacks. He says the top leaders of Congress in Chhattisgarh were attacked and killed by Maoists in the period between 2006-2009, asking if anyone from the BJP died during the freedom struggle or in the attack by Maoists.

Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde says that the Maharashtra Government is taking efforts to make Gadchiroli Maoist-free.

He says that the government has been making a fruitful effort in wiping out Maoism in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.

He says that when Eknath Shinde was the Guardian Minister of Gadchiroli, the later went there and celebrated Diwali with them.

He adds that with the leadership of Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, it is possible to abolish Maoism.

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Bill, 2025, (IBC) has been crucial to improving the overall health of the Indian Banking sector, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman says. The IBC has proven effective as a channel to recovering NPA’s for Scheduled Commercial Banks. Scheduled Commercial Banks recovered a total of ₹1,04,099 crore through various channels, and IBC contributed a significant ₹54,528 crore.

This Bill replaces the underutilised fast-track process - that is the CIRP with a reduced timeline for small capital companies. This fast-track process is basically given a new creditor-initiated insolvency framework, featuring out-of-court settlements, initiations, debtor in possession, and a creditor in control model. The management continues to vest in the existing board of directors or partners, with safeguards and defined timelines.

Niramala Sitharaman says, “the value of the currency of every country is fluctuating; in that scenario, the effort of the Opposition to undermine the agriculture and hard work of the people of our country is not right.”

“It is a requirement to stay with the hard work of the people. The effort of the Opposition to undermine our nation and the hard work of the people is a wrong attitude,” she adds.

Samajwadi Party MP from Uttar Pradesh, Dharmendra Yadav, says that the whole country listens to the words of PM Narendra Modi, adding that the popularity of the Indian PM is going down as the value of the rupee is decreasing substantially.

Mr. Yadav asks when India will grow above foreign countries in terms of the value of the rupee.

Minister of Finance, Nirmala Sitharaman, says that in a global survey held two months ago, the popularity of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is above all the world leaders.

Mr. Sitharaman says, “you should listen when a question is answered,” as the Opposition MPs raise slogans against her speech.

She adds that “the economy of India is very strong.” She says India has been maintaining a good fiscal deficit for the last five years.

She adds that India’s foreign exchange reserve is very solid, as the growth of the rupee is going very fine.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut says that the West Asia war has been continuing for over a month, causing LPG and fuel shortages in countries all over the world, adding that there are dark clouds forming above India, which can cause harm to the country.

He says the bombing of the oil refineries in Iran has caused smoke that can add to the air pollution in the world, which is also a threat to the health of people in India.

Mr. Raut requests the government to form a team to analyse the effect of this pollution on India.

BJD MP Sasmit Patra registers his party’s protest against Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey’s remark on Biju Patnaik.

Mr. Patra alleges that Mr. Dubey called Mr. Patnaik a “CIA agent.”

Mr Patra says that the ruling party has sunk to a level that makes such remarks.

The BJD party MPs walked out of the Rajya Sabha to register their protest.

J.P. Nadda moves a motion for the election to the council established under section 30 (A) of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (Amendment) Act.

The Chairman, C.P. Radhakrishnan, put it to a voice vote, and the motion was passed without any opposition.

Meanwhile, in the Rajya Sabha, the Central Armed Police Forces (General Administration) Bill, 2026, will be taken up for further consideration. Union Minister Amit Shah will move the Bill for passing.

On March 25, Minister of State (MoS) Home Nityanand Rai introduced the Bill in the Upper House, while the INDIA bloc MPs opposed it.

The Bill provides for 50% of posts in the CAPFs to be filled by deputation in the rank of Inspector General, and a minimum of 67% of the posts to be filled by deputation in the rank of Additional Director General, and all posts in the ranks of Special Director General and Director General shall be filled by deputation only.

The Opposition MPs flagged that the Bill goes against the Supreme Court judgment in 2025, which called for “the number of posts earmarked for deputation in the cadres of the CAPFs up to the level of Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) should be progressively reduced over a period of time, say within an outer limit of two years.”

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Bill, 2025, is scheduled to be further discussed in the Lower House of Parliament on Monday.

The Lok Sabha took up the Bill moved by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for discussion on March 27. The Bill, which was initially referred to a Select Committee, has been introduced to address the delays and bring procedural amendments to the insolvency and bankruptcy of a company or individual.

The Lower House is also likely to take up discussion on the government’s efforts to free the country from left-wing extremism, as Union Home Minister Amit Shah had announced March 2026 as the deadline for Naxal-free India.
