The flagship poverty alleviation programme of Andhra Pradesh, Public-Private-People Partnership (P4), is steadily expanding its reach.

As per the latest government data, Palnadu district has recorded 98.61 per cent integration of village/ward secretariats with Bangaru Kutumbams (BKs), placing it among the districts with the highest level of linkage.

Palnadu is followed closely by Parvathipuram Manyam at 98 per cent, Visakhapatnam at 98.37 per cent and Guntur at 98.32 per cent. Anakapalli recorded 97 per cent integration, followed by NTR district at 97.69 per cent, Tirupati at 97.36 per cent, Nellore at 96 per cent and Srikakulam at 96.43 per cent.

The data indicates that several districts have achieved integration levels of more than 95 per cent, pointing to a high degree of linkage between secretariats and BKs.

At the lower end, YSR Kadapa recorded 72.22 per cent, while Sri Sathya Sai stood at 76 per cent, Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema at 79 per cent, Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) at 80 per cent and Anantapur at 82 per cent.

Linkage

In the integration of secretariats with Margadarshi, Nandyal district emerged at the top with 93.39 per cent linkage. It was followed by Anakapalli at 88 per cent and Polavaram at 87 per cent.

Srikakulam recorded 76 per cent, followed by Bapatla at 74 per cent, Vizianagaram at 67 per cent, NTR district at 67 per cent and ASR district at 63 per cent.

Brainchild of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the programme aims to bridge the socio-economic divide by encouraging the wealthiest 10 per cent of the population to support the bottom 20 per cent of the poorest families.
