Kerala Congress working chairman P.C. Thomas has sent a legal notice to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar for “illegally displaying the picture of Bharat Mata with a saffron flag”.

Mr. Thomas said it is unacceptable for the Governor to act against the Constitution and warned that he would approach court if this is repeated. He urged the Centre to take stringent action against the use of the saffron flag, emphasising that the Governor should ideally use the national flag.
